About CCI

CCI, Inc. began in 1989 as the Counseling Connection Inc. a national mental health consumer advocacy and referral service established by a group of mental health professionals. In 1993, CCI began working to help combat the problem of drugs in the workplace. Several states had passed the Drug-Free Workplace Act, which required certified employers to provide employee assistance resources but Employee Assistance Programs were often costly, inflexible and only available to large employers. As CCI worked with the state and national Drug-Free Workplace Programs, they began to realize the great need for innovative employee assistance programs that could customize their services for organizations of all sizes.
